Good Morning Ektorp

IKEA furniture comes with names, not unlike Cabbage Patch dolls, however, they aren't unique. We have three "Gilbert" chairs, for example. Our recent addition is called Ektorp and it's a great couch!! We unpacked and assembled it and it looks so good! Well, it's a little big, but it's so comfortable. Remko came in the living room this morning, said good morning to me and turned to Ektorp and said good morning to him, too. We're going to be those people that name their cars and stuff like that. Sigh...I don't think it's that bad. :)




We've got a couple more updates in the living room to share: Since Swiss doors don't normally have screens (windows don't either) we had to find something for the door that we can walk through but that also keeps the flies out. We ended up getting a hippie string door divider in all colors of blue. I didn't think I was ever going to own one of those, either, but it works well and looks cool. It looks a little strange in the full photo, so I took a close up of the strings so you can see what it's made of.




I also added some old charts to the back and sides of the bookcase that holds our travel souvenirs. It's so exciting getting things put together the way we want!
