I said we went up the river looking for animals, and I have to be honest that I didn't see any in the wild. However, a few enterprising kids from the nearby villages helped us out. As we rounded the first curve in the small tributary, small motorized and unmotorized canoes with two or three kids came up to our canoe holding local animals and asking for money to take their photos. The people in my canoe were quite accomodating with the "dollar", "dollar" so I was able to take some good shots. And yes, that is a 10-foot-long boa constrictor.
I'm either sailing around the world with my Chief Officer husband, trying to sort out daily life in Switzerland, or visiting family and friends in the States. Wherever I am, I'd love to use this blog to share my adventures and photos and keep in touch with friends and family around the world.
