Haines, Alaska

Earlier this week we arrived in Haines, Alaska. The ship usually goes to Skagway, so this was actually the first time I'd ever been there. It was a sunny day, which is rare in Alaska in May, so I knew I had to go ashore and explore.

I loved it! I spent about an hour walking around town feeling the small town and the Alaskaness of it all. Beautiful scenery, kitschy buildings, fun signs.
