It's Christmas Time!!

Apart from the colds we both are fighting now, it's so good to have the cold weather and the feeling of Christmas. It started with a doorbell just a few days after we arrived home. The mailman was there with a care package from my mom in the US: American cookie makings!

Turned into Ritz cracker cookies and puppy chow. Yum!!

After a quick discussion on the merits of real and fake trees, we left last week for the store to see what would be easiest to carry back. We found this small tree in a light, thin box with a stand included. It was the last one stuffed behind a display of flannel shirts. Either someone was trying to save it for themselves (doubtful) or the employees forgot about it. We rescued it and after some fluffing....

and expert light installation....

and a few nostalgic ornaments, it's our first Christmas tree as a married couple!

Happy Holidays!!
