After our brief visit to the fortress, we had an even briefer time at a Mayan ruin site called Quirigua. Here are just a couple of photos. I'm going back as soon as I can to learn more about this place and the zoomorphs and stellae that are under these canopies. They're all stone carvings and used as political records and battle commemorations. Very cool.
I'm either sailing around the world with my Chief Officer husband, trying to sort out daily life in Switzerland, or visiting family and friends in the States. Wherever I am, I'd love to use this blog to share my adventures and photos and keep in touch with friends and family around the world.
